NCAE: Release Notes

R1.2-25

Core

Features

  • NCAE provides three default groups out of the box: Reader, Operator and Admin. More groups can be configured based on your requirements. Theses „NCAE Groups“ can then be mapped to LDAP Groups, so that the NCAE Groups can be controlled by any LDAP.
Setting this up requires two steps: Configuring the groups, and enabling the feature:
  • Service Instance imports based on an Excel sheet are handled by the backend. Validation of the new „service_instance_targets“ field is now also supported.

Bugfixes and minor changes

  • Improve error handling for mismatches of Transactions and Phase Instances. This can happen if the module sends faulty callbacks to the Core.
  • Improve robustness of label ordering of the exported (CSV-)Reports.
  • All legacy Reports were migrated, the resulting cleanup of data collection of legacy reports improves robustness and run times of the Change Scheduler tasks.
  • Uniqueness validation of names for OneTimeReports, Devices and Credentials is now tenant-aware.
  • Only Superusers may edit the LDAP configuration. This change was required, as the „superuser“ group can now be configured as an LDAP setting.
  • One Time Reports now support fetching data through external API services, ensuring a unified interface for third-party system communications.
  • Validation of the LDAP configuration was hardened: whenever group data is accessed, the AUTH_LDAP_GROUP_SEARCH attribute is required.
  • Ensure Grafana SSO works for NCAE users without associated email address.
  • Extended filter for the Change Scheduler: elements can now be filtered for the „timed out“ status.
  • Custom „quick links“ can be added in the django admin. A quick link can either be  a link to a database table, or a custom URL (e.g. for specific elements).
